Heather Whitpan

Heather Whitpan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in development, event planning, and arts management. Currently serving as Stewardship Manager for the Washington National Opera at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, responsibilities include managing a donor stewardship program, coordinating annual events, and supervising team members. Prior roles include Development Director at the Alice Ferguson Foundation, where Heather developed fundraising campaigns and cultivated donor relationships, and Producing Artistic Director/Founder of LiveArtDC, a collaborative theater company. With a background in government affairs at the Solar Energy Industries Association, Heather has a proven track record in advocacy and fundraising, alongside expertise in various software tools. Heather holds a BA in English/Theater from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
