Barry Clarkson

Barry Clarkson is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various educational and organizational settings. Currently serving as the Head of Information Technology at John Good Group since September 2019, Barry provides strategic direction for IT Support and Development teams. Previously, Barry was the Director of IT and Systems Development at Bishop Grosseteste University, overseeing all operational aspects of IT services. With a robust background that includes the role of Director of ICT at Grimsby Institute of Further and Higher Education, Barry has consistently supported and developed ICT infrastructures for diverse user bases. Early career roles involved IT support positions at Cleethorpes Borough Council and Grimsby Evening Telegraph. Barry holds a Level 7 qualification in Strategic Leadership and Management and an HNC in Computer Studies from Grimsby Institute.
