E. David Pemstein is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in the financial services sector, currently serving as Senior Managing Director and Chief Legal Officer for the Global General Account at John Hancock Financial Services since April 2006, where oversight includes legal matters related to over $400 billion in investments. Prior to this role, E. David Pemstein held positions as Managing Director & Senior Counsel focusing on alternative investments and corporate initiatives, and has a substantial background with Ropes & Gray LLP as a Senior Corporate Associate and Litigation Associate. E. David Pemstein's experience also includes serving as a Special Assistant District Attorney in the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office. E. David Pemstein holds a JD with Honors from the University of Chicago Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Theater from Wesleyan University, with additional studies at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
