Claire Lewis

Claire Lewis has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Claire started their career as a Junior Bank Officer at the Bank of England in 1985 and worked there until 1989. From 1989 to 1991, they worked as a Settlements Clerk at James Capel Stockbrokers and later moved on to Credit Lyonnais Bank as a Cashier from 1991 to 1992. Claire then returned to James Capel Stockbrokers and worked as a Cash Management Clerk from 1992 to 1995.

In 1995, Claire joined James Capel HSBC Investment Bank as a Nostro Management Clerk and stayed there until 2005. Following this, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Eastfield Primary School from 2005 to 2007.

Claire then embarked on a career in finance and accounting and joined Wates Group in 2007. Claire held the position of Senior Management Accountant at Wates Group for a decade and was responsible for preparing quarterly reports on business performance, managing the monthly CVR process, and establishing strong relationships with stakeholders.

In 2017, Claire joined HG Construction Ltd as a Finance Manager. In this role, they led cashflow forecasting, reconciliations, and ledger management. Claire also processed purchase orders, invoices, and expense claims and created and submitted VAT/CIS returns to HMRC.

Currently, Claire works at John Henry Group as a Commercial Accountant. Claire'sresponsibilities include driving commercial awareness, evaluating the impact of operational activity on revenue levels, creating monthly P&Ls of contracts, and reporting to senior management stakeholders. Claire also produces WIP templates and delivers them to Project Managers as required.

Claire Lewis began their education in a comprehensive school called Burnt Mill Comprehensive School, where they pursued their O-Levels/CSEs. Following this, they attended Herford Regional College to further their studies and obtained GCSEs, including English and Mathematics. Later on, they attended ATC from 1995 to 1999, where they attained an AAT Qualification. Continuing their educational journey, from 2007 to 2010, Claire enrolled at Kaplan Financial and successfully completed their CIMA Qualification.
