Edward Hems has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Edward started their career in 2009 as a Telethon Caller at Keble College, Oxford. From there, they went on to work as a Data Clerk at The Coastal Partnership for three years before transitioning to a role at John Innes Centre. At the John Innes Centre, they started as a PhD Student in Biological Chemistry in October 2013 and successfully completed their doctorate in September 2017. Afterward, they moved into the role of Synthetic Chemistry Postdoctoral Researcher, where they are currently engaged.
Edward Hems received their education in the field of chemistry. Edward started their academic journey in 2008 at the University of Oxford, where they pursued a degree in MChem for one year. In 2010, Edward enrolled at The University of Sheffield and completed their Master's degree in Chemistry, known as MChem, in 2013. Edward further pursued their studies at the John Innes Centre from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biological Chemistry.
