Sergio Gabriel Lopez has a diverse range of work experience in scientific research and laboratory settings. Sergio Gabriel most recently worked at the John Innes Centre as an Optical Microscopy Support Specialist, where they provided training and assistance on microscopy-related techniques and wrote Python scripts for image processing and analysis. Prior to that, they were a Fluorescence Spectrometer Testing and Validation Specialist at Edinburgh Instruments, where they assembled, aligned, and tested fluorescence spectrometers and optical components. Sergio Gabriel also worked as a Research Associate at the University of Glasgow, where they conducted single molecule studies of DNA unwinding and developed MATLAB code for data processing. Sergio Gabriel gained further experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, conducting photophysical characterization of thin organic semiconductor films and metal-organic frameworks. Additionally, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Dublin City University, conducting photophysical characterization of nanomaterials and transmembrane proteins and training PhD students and postdocs. Sergio Gabriel Lopez has a strong educational background in the fields of Chemistry, Genetics, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science. Sergio Gabriel obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Buenos Aires in 2010. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Genetics from Universidad Nacional de Misiones, where they studied from 1998 to 2005.
