Ramesh Shanmuganathan

Ramesh Shanmuganathan has a strong and diverse work experience in the field of information technology and consulting. Ramesh has held various executive positions in notable companies such as John Keells Holdings PLC, Nations Trust Bank PLC, JOHN KEELLS IT, Infomate Ltd, John Keells BPO Solutions, John Keells X, and ramesh24inc & company. Ramesh has expertise in strategy, consulting, digital, technology, and operations. Ramesh has served as an Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer, Chief Executive Officer, and Executive Director in their previous roles. Ramesh has also been a member of the Forbes Business Council. Throughout their career, they have worked in Sri Lanka's leading conglomerate, John Keells Holdings PLC, and has had strategic roles in various subsidiaries and affiliated companies under the group.

Ramesh Shanmuganathan has an extensive education history. Ramesh attained a Doctor of Business Administration degree in International Business from The International School of Management (ISM) between 2011 and 2022. Prior to that, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Management from Keisie International University and completed their studies in 2017. In 1999, Ramesh earned a Master of Science degree in Information Technology & Computer Science, with Phi Kappa Phi Honors, from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Ramesh also holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in General Management, which they completed in 1997 at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. In 1994, Ramesh obtained their Bachelor of Science in Engineering, specializing in Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering, from the University of Moratuwa. Furthermore, they also hold a BSc degree in Computer & Communications Engineering from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, which they acquired in 1992. Prior to that, in 1991, they received a BSc degree in Electronics & Computer Engineering from Engineering Council UK. Ramesh Shanmuganathan began their educational journey at Royal College Colombo, where they completed their High School studies with a focus on Double Maths, Physics, and Chemistry, from 1979 to 1987.
