Spencer Crooks

Spencer Crooks is currently a Doctoral Intern at John Muir Health since September 2022 and has been a Doctoral Student at The Wright Institute since August 2017. Prior experience includes serving as Account Management Lead for Square from February 2011 to August 2017 and as Senior Writer, Photographer, and Editor for The Owl Mag from January 2010 to January 2012. Earlier, Crooks held various roles at YouTube from January 2006 to January 2010, including Sr. Associate in Corporate Communications and Marketing Coordinator, where responsibilities ranged from media relations to managing product launches. Crooks began a writing career with the Noise Pop Music Festival in 2006. Crooks holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Cinema Studies, and Gender Studies from California State University, Chico, which was completed in 2005.
