Rebecca McAlister-Visic

Rebecca McAlister-Visic has an extensive work experience spanning over several years. Rebecca is currently working as the Head of Diverse Learning (Primary) at John Paul College since January 2019. Prior to this, they served as a Lecturer / Researcher at the University of Southern Queensland from January 2018 to January 2019. Rebecca also worked at Brisbane Catholic Education, where they held various roles such as Primary Learning Leader from January 2016 to December 2017, and Support Teacher Inclusive Education from January 2010 to December 2014. During their time at Griffith University, they worked as a Lecturer/Prac Liaison Supervisor/ Researcher from January 2012 to December 2014. Rebecca's career in education began as a Classroom Teacher at Brisbane Catholic Education in 1996, and they also served as a Curriculum Support Teacher and Support Teacher Inclusive Education during their tenure there. Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise in diverse learning and inclusive education.

Rebecca McAlister-Visic holds a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from QUT (Queensland University of Technology), which they obtained from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed a Graduate Diploma in Education with a focus on Child Development at QUT from 2001 to 2003. Their undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Teaching in Primary Education from Australian Catholic University, completed from 1992 to 1995. For their high school education, they attended Saint Mary's Hall from 1989 to 1991, Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart from 1988 to 1989, and Loreto College Coorparoo in the year 1987.
