Jasmine Starnes

Jasmine Starnes has significant experience in both animal care and mentoring. Currently serving as an Apprentice Trainer at Georgia Aquarium since January 2018, Jasmine works alongside Animal Care and Training Specialists, focusing on African Penguins through behavioral observations, diet preparation, and environmental enrichment. Prior to this, a role as a Server at Johnny's Pizza Franchise Systems Inc. was held since August 2016. Jasmine also contributed to the STEM Education Enhancement Plant as a Mentor from August to December 2017, guiding undergraduate researchers in molecular techniques. Additional experience includes a position as a Physics Workshop Leader at the University of West Georgia, where Jasmine promoted student engagement in physics. Earlier roles include serving as an Assistant Manager at LA Fiesta Mexican Restaurants, overseeing daily operations and employee management. Jasmine holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of West Georgia, graduating in 2017.
