Bill Smedick

Bill Smedick is a seasoned educator with over three decades of experience in leadership and student affairs. Currently serving as a Senior Lecturer and Director of the Leadership Studies Program at Johns Hopkins University since July 1989, Smedick specializes in teaching courses such as Leadership Theory, Leading Change, and Leading Social Change. In addition to his role at Johns Hopkins, Smedick has been an Independent Consultant with Kathleen Allen & Associates since September 2001, focusing on student affairs program reviews and leadership workshops. Previously, Smedick held positions including Assistant Director of Student Development at Texas State University and Residence Hall Director at Southern Illinois University. Smedick holds an Ed.D in Educational Leadership from Morgan State University, along with two Master's degrees in Higher Education from Southern Illinois University and a Bachelor's degree in Education from Southern Connecticut State University.
