J.b. Bird

J.B. Bird currently serves as the Senior Associate Vice President for Media Relations & News at The Johns Hopkins University, a position held since May 2022, after previously serving as Assistant Vice President in the same department. Prior experience includes roles as Director of Media Relations and Issues Management and Director of Media Outreach at The University of Texas at Austin from April 2014 to April 2022. J.B. also held the position of Communications Director at both the Jackson School of Geosciences and the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin from April 2000 to April 2014. J.B. holds a Master of Arts in Communications from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Arts in Latin American Studies from the same institution, along with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Williams College.
