John Sivey

John Sivey has extensive experience in academia and research, currently serving as Chair and Professor of Chemistry at Towson University since 2012, where additional roles include Graduate Program Director for Environmental Science and Associate Professor of Chemistry. Sivey also contributes to The Johns Hopkins University as a lecturer in Environmental Engineering and Science since 2017 and held a visiting research professor position in Environmental Engineering at Villanova University from January 2019 to May 2020. Previous experience includes a postdoctoral associate role at Yale University and a brief position as a student technologist at The Dow Chemical Company. Sivey holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering and Chemistry from The Johns Hopkins University, as well as a Master of Science from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Central Michigan University.
