Kerry Ates

Kerry Ates currently serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff at The Johns Hopkins University, a position held since January 2014. Prior to this role, Kerry Ates worked in the U.S. Senate from April 1997 to December 2013, where responsibilities included serving as Chief of Staff and General Counsel. Additionally, Kerry Ates was the Campaign Director for Friends of Jay Rockefeller from January 2003 to December 2013. Kerry Ates earned a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Los Angeles - School of Law and holds a Bachelor's degree in Government & Politics and East Asian Languages & Literature from the University of Maryland.
