Kurt Orderson

Kurt Orderson is a creative professional with extensive experience in film and academia. Currently serving as a Creative Consultant for the "Rethinking The Right to the City Through the Black Radical Tradition" project at The Johns Hopkins University, Kurt has also been a co-op member of New Day Films since August 2019, where collaboration among over 140 filmmakers focuses on social justice-themed documentary distribution. With roles as a Creative Producer and Film Director at Azania Rizing Productions since 2008, Kurt has also held a fellowship at The Johns Hopkins University's Arrighi Center for Global Studies. Kurt's earlier experience includes serving as a Story Producer at SABC from 2004 to 2008. Currently pursuing two Master of Fine Arts degrees in Film and Cinema Studies from AFDA and Monash University, Kurt continues to contribute to the film industry while advancing academic qualifications.
