Marin Kobilarov is an accomplished academic and engineer with extensive experience in robotics and control systems. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at The Johns Hopkins University since August 2012, Marin previously held the role of Assistant Professor at the same institution. Additionally, Marin has been a Principal Engineer, Planning and Control at Zoox Inc. since November 2015. Prior experience includes a Post-doctoral Fellowship at the California Institute of Technology from April 2009 to June 2012. Marin earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Robotics from the University of Southern California between 2003 and 2008, and a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from Trinity College-Hartford from 1999 to 2003.
