Sophia Economon is currently a Graduate Student Researcher at The Johns Hopkins University, collaborating with Dr. Dimitri Sverjenksy on geochemical modeling of reaction processes in Earth's crust and upper mantle since August 2021. Additionally, a summer internship at George Mason University involved utilizing a telescope to collect light curve data on transiting exoplanet candidates from NASA's TESS mission. Sophia holds a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Earth and Planetary Sciences from The Johns Hopkins University, expected in 2026, and a degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the Florida Institute of Technology, completed in May 2021.
