Erick Kirks has had a diverse work experience in the automotive industry. Erick started their career as a Used Car Manager and later became an Inventory Control Manager at Bob King Automall. In 1998, they left the position to pursue opportunities in the convergence of the internet and the automotive industry in California.
In 1999, Kirks joined CarsDirect.com as the Southern California Regional Manager, where they were involved in the launch of CarsDirect.com's 3rd party lead programs and identified new product opportunities. Erick continued to work in the online automotive sector as the East Coast Regional Manager at Internet Brands from 2004 to 2010. In this role, they served as a corporate contact for major automotive groups and provided internet advertising solutions to automotive dealerships.
Afterward, Kirks joined Leapdog Marketing as the Director of Digital Marketing in 2010. In this position, they consulted with businesses on internet marketing strategies, managed a team, and coordinated sales efforts to expand into new markets nationally.
In 2014, Kirks joined Johnson Automotive as the Marketing Director, where they are currently employed.
Erick Kirks earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Marketing from the Cameron School of Business at UNC Wilmington from 1994 to 1996. Prior to that, from 1992 to 1996, they also pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Additionally, Erick has obtained various certifications in AI and digital marketing from institutions like Skillshop and Google, starting in 2023.
