Chris Bontempo

Chris Bontempo currently serves as the Chief Marketing Officer at Johnson Controls since May 2024. Previously, Bontempo held various leadership roles at IBM from May 2005 to February 2024, including Chief Marketing Officer for IBM Americas and Vice President for both Cloud and Cognitive Software and Security Marketing. Bontempo's early career includes roles such as Market Analyst at Thirdspace, Research Analyst at both Alcatel and Newbridge Networks, and Paralegal at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP & Affiliates. Bontempo holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Columbia Business School and a BA in European Studies from Amherst College.
