Julia Dekker

Julia Dekker is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion. At Johnson Controls from November 2018 to August 2022, Julia served as the Director of Employee Engagement and Inclusion, where responsibilities included developing and executing strategies for employee engagement, leading initiatives, and acting as an HR Business Partner. Previous roles include Manager of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, where Julia led the DEI Action Committee and launched multiple DEI initiatives, and Senior Business Partner in Sales Leadership Training. Prior to Johnson Controls, Julia worked at UniFirst Corporation in various sales training roles, contributing to the development and implementation of sales processes. Julia's earlier experience includes internships at Columbus College of Art and Design and Art Interview Online Magazine. Educational achievements include a Master of Arts in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice Leadership from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Science in Art History and Business from The Ohio State University.
