Mark Vergnano is a retired CEO who currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Johnson Controls and as a member of the Board of Directors of Johnson Controls International. They are a current board member of Waters Corporation and The University of Connecticut Foundation, Inc., and they are the Founding Chair of the Vergnano Institute for Inclusion at the University of Connecticut. They also serve as a Partner at Sea Shell Partners LLC and as a member of the Advisory Board for Superbrewed Food Inc. Earlier in their career, they worked at DuPont from 1991 to 1996 in roles including European Business Manager - Nonwovens, Process Engineer and Marketing Specialist, Executive Vice President, Group Vice President, Vice President and General Manager, and Global Business Director for Teflon fiber, Nomex, and Tyvek. They earned an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University (1981–1985) and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Connecticut (1976–1980).
