He was born in Istanbul. After training in Hotel Management and Tourism, she took foreign language training.

Since 1980, he started working in the tourism sector in the fields of hotel management and travel agency.

Since 1995, it has started to operate as a tour operator in Russia, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark under the name Detur. Today, Detur serves more than 250 thousand guests annually in northern countries.

Firuz Bağlıkaya, who also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Basketball Federation for a while, has been in Turkey and Europe; He took part in important international organizations such as FIBA ​​World Basketball Championship, World Golf Championship and Final Four European Basketball Championship.

After serving as the 2nd President of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB) between 2011 and 2014, he has been the President of TÜRSAB since March 2018.
