Richard Dancy

Richard Dancy is the Vice President, Associate General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at Johnson Controls, where they focus on mergers and acquisitions and securities transactions. Originally from the suburbs of Detroit, Richard now resides in Milwaukee and has represented numerous public and private companies across various industries. Richard's notable achievements include facilitating major acquisitions and securities offerings for companies such as Plantronics, Harley Davidson, and Johnson Controls. They earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics from the University of Notre Dame and a Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School. Prior to their current role, Richard gained valuable experience at Foley & Lardner LLP from 2011 to 2017.
