David W. Ceilley is a highly experienced ecologist with a diverse background in aquatic science and ecology. Currently serving as the Certified Senior Ecologist, Owner, and Principal Ecologist at Ceilley Aquatic Science & Ecology, LLC, David leads the Aquatic Faunal Monitoring Program for the Picayune Strand Restoration Project. Prior roles include Senior Ecologist at Johnson Engineering, Inc., and Research Scientist at Florida Gulf Coast University. David's earlier experience encompasses significant positions such as Director of Science at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida and Restoration Ecologist at the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation. David's academic credentials include a Master of Science in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences from the University of Florida, alongside graduate studies in Marine Biology at the Florida Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Northern Iowa.
