Dan Janotta is an artist, architect, and furniture designer. Dan has worked in various roles throughout their career. Dan started their career as a Designer at Caudill, Rowlett, & Scott, where they worked on important architecture projects around the world. Dan then moved on to 3DInternational as an Associate and Intermediate Architectural Designer, where they were responsible for implementing digital tools for the design process. After that, they joined Dworsky Associates as an Associate, introducing AutoCad to the firm and working on significant projects. Dan then joined JohnsonFain as a Principal AIA Design, where they led the firm with digital aspects of the design process and worked on notable projects. Currently, they are retired since December 2020 and works part-time as a consultant for JohnsonFain while focusing on their art.

Dan Janotta has a strong education background in the field of architecture. Dan obtained their Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1978. Prior to that, they attended Tinley Park High School, where they received their high school diploma in 1972. After completing their undergraduate studies, Dan pursued further education and earned a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1980.
