Barbara Böttcher

Barbara Böttcher is currently the Director of Medical Affairs Strategy and Execution at Johnson & Johnson, where they oversee strategic initiatives within the medical affairs domain. Previously, Barbara worked at the Swiss Paediatric Oncology Group, assuming roles such as Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance Associate, and later Head of Quality Assurance, where they significantly improved operational processes and developed essential quality manuals. They also gained experience at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research as a Postgraduate Employee, focusing on biochemical assays. Barbara holds a Doctor of Science (PhD) in Cell Biology from ETH Zurich and additional qualifications in Clinical Trial Practice and Management, as well as degrees in Biology from the University of Cologne and Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg im Breisgau.
