Florian Kress

Florian Kress has extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, particularly within Johnson & Johnson's GMP operations, where roles included Bern Site Leader for the Open & Out employee resource group, focusing on LGBT+ inclusion, and various engineering positions overseeing viral vector production for CAR-T cell therapy. Kress has also held leadership positions in organizing national events and training initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering & Biotechnology and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, complemented by an international exchange experience at The University of Edinburgh. Prior to these roles, Kress gained research experience through internships and a master’s thesis project centered on optimizing bone marrow niche models for stem cell applications.
