Greg Hofmann

Greg Hofmann is a Principal Engineer at Johnson and Johnson Vision Care, where they lead new product development, including a novel presbyopic lens and a clinical-based tear film metrology device. Previously, they served as a Staff Scientist at CarboMedics, managing a research project focused on reducing manufacturing costs of medical devices. They also held the position of Senior Process Development Engineer at Johnson & Johnson, planning and executing experiments for new mold manufacturing techniques. Hofmann's earlier experience includes a role as a Research Engineer at Medtronic, where they designed a PECVD reactor for prosthetic applications. They earned a BS in Physics Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an MS in Materials Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
