Jan D.

Jan D. has a diverse background in bioinformatics and data science, with significant experience in both academic and industry settings. As a Project Intern at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research, Jan focused on transcription factor networks and cancer models. Following this, at ETH Zürich, Jan served as a Scientific Assistant while researching variational autoencoder models on large immunome sequencing datasets and previously worked as a Research Assistant. Jan further advanced to roles including Security Guard at Securitas AG and progressed to Senior Data Scientist at wega Informatik AG, contributing to clinical development projects. Currently, Jan is the Data Science Lead at Johnson & Johnson, spearheading initiatives to innovate the global healthcare supply chain with data science and AI. Jan holds a Master's degree in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics and multiple Bachelor's degrees in Biology and Materials Science from ETH Zürich and The University of British Columbia.
