Sanjay Mistry is currently the VP of Johnson & Johnson Innovation at Johnson & Johnson. Sanjay has also worked as an assistant director, development scientist, and postdoctoral fellow at Morphogen Pharmaceuticals, The Scripps Research Institute, and UPMC, respectively. While at Johnson & Johnson, they invented cell therapy for the treatment of age-related macular degeneration (Phase iIIb). Prior to that, at Morphogen Pharmaceuticals, they established a stem cell molecular biology group and discovered and developed a muscle derived stem cell platform. And at The Scripps Research Institute, they investigated the role of neural cell adhesion molecules in the initiation of stem cell differentiation and integration in targeted organogenesis.

Sanjay Mistry has a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Aberdeen, a Master of Science in Clinical Pharmacology from the University of Aberdeen, and a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Science/Pharmacology from Nottingham Trent University.
