Tom Alessi

Tom Alessi currently serves as the Head of Engineering and Head of Architecture at Johnson & Johnson Vision, having joined the company in July 2019. Prior to this, Tom held various leadership roles at BabyCenter from March 2001 to July 2019, including CTO, CISO, and VP of Information Technology. Earlier experience includes positions at eToys/BabyCenter, Wells Fargo Bank, TopTier Software, and Roche Molecular Systems, where a significant contribution involved developing a prototype diagnostic assay for Human Papillomavirus DNA detection. Tom holds a B.S. in Microbiology from the University of California, Davis, and an M.S. in Information Systems from the University of San Francisco, along with co-authoring a publication in the Journal of Clinical Microbiology.
