Matt Farmer has extensive experience in the field of physical chemistry, currently serving as a Senior Technical Expert and R&D Scientist at Johnson Matthey since April 2008. In this role, responsibilities include onsite technical assistance, catalyst design and optimization, spent catalyst analysis, and product/process development, focusing on heterogeneous catalysts and process improvement. Prior to this, Matt Farmer held the position of Doctoral Fellow at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where research included crystal chemistry investigations and the scintillation properties of crystals for gamma-ray detection. Additional experience includes an internship at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, gaining expertise in neutron scattering techniques. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Physical Chemistry from Baylor University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from The University of Dallas.
