Brett Abernathy

Brett Abernathy is a seasoned professional in civil engineering and transportation management, currently serving as the Associate Vice President and Winston-Salem Office Leader at Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson since January 2023. Prior to this role, Brett held the position of Mid Atlantic Transportation Manager at Vaughn & Melton Consulting Engineers from July 2021 to January 2023. Brett's extensive experience also includes over 32 years at the North Carolina Department of Transportation, where Brett served as a Division Project Development Engineer. Brett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
