Hilafu T. Hilafu

Hilafu T. Hilafu, PE, is a Hydraulics Design Engineer at Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson since September 2022, with prior experience as a Hydraulics Engineer at the Virginia Department of Transportation from May 2021 to September 2022 and the South Carolina Department of Transportation from January 2020 to April 2021. Hilafu began a career in academia as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Tennessee from August 2018 to August 2019 and served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Cleveland State University from August 2017 to May 2018. Hilafu holds a Master of Science in Water Resources Engineering from the Tickle College of Engineering at the University of Tennessee, obtained in 2019, and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering from Hamelmalo College of Agriculture, Eritrea, earned in 2013.
