Byron Koster

Byron Koster is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in public M&A, corporate law, and sports law. Currently a partner at Johnson Winter Slattery since March 2013, Koster has also served as a Tribunal Member for the National Basketball League since February 2015. Prior engagements include being a member of the Takeovers Panel from 2005 to 2017 and a partner at Corrs Chambers Westgarth from March 2008 to March 2013, where expertise in both public and private M&A and corporate governance was developed. Koster began the legal career at Blake Dawson Waldron, progressing from associate to partner between April 1994 and March 2008, specializing in public M&A. Educational qualifications include an LLB and MA from the University of Sydney and an LLM from UNSW.
