Lashunda Faison

LaShunda Faison has a diverse work experience in the education field. LaShunda started their career as a Teacher at Wake County Public School System in 2011 and worked in this role until 2017. During their time at the school system, they also took on the position of Administrative Intern from 2016 to 2017.

In 2013, LaShunda Faison worked as a Writing Consultant at Shaw University until 2015. LaShunda then became an Adjunct Faculty Member of Writing & Study Skills at Wake Technical Community College from 2014 to 2016.

In 2017, LaShunda Faison joined Johnston County Public Schools as an Assistant Principal, and in 2019, they transitioned into the role of Principal. Their current employment status at Johnston County Public Schools is ongoing.

LaShunda Faison earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2010. LaShunda then pursued a Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) degree in Social Studies Teacher Education at Wake Forest University from 2010 to 2011. Later, they obtained a Master of School Administration degree in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Human Development from North Carolina State University from 2015 to 2017. LaShunda Faison also holds additional certifications in Education 6-12 from Wake Forest University and School Administrator: Principal.
