Alejandro Calderón has three years of work experience. In 2021, they joined join.com as a Junior Data Analyst. In this role, they designed and created a Recommendation System that maximized the number and quality of applications to clients' job postings, consolidated several data tables with over 4 million records in a unified dataset, and performed data cleaning and wrangling, feature engineering and Natural Language Processing (NLP) using Python. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at Procter & Gamble as a Pacific Business Planning and Comptrolling, where they were in charge of building, improving, automating, analyzing and delivering financial reports to multifunctional teams across three countries. From 2016 to 2019, they were an Undergraduate teaching assistant for five Industrial Engineering courses at Universidad de Los Andes, where they led review sessions and gave personal tutoring to students, with the aim of helping them reinforce the concepts explained in class. Additionally, they supported professors by correcting tests, assignments, and final class projects.

Alejandro Calderón has a diverse education history. Alejandro obtained a High School Diploma from Gimnasio Moderno in 2002-2015, and then went on to pursue an Industrial Engineering degree from Universidad de Los Andes from 2016-2020 with an emphasis on Operational Research, Statistics and Finance. In 2016, they also attended Universidad El Bosque for a Public Speaking and Effective Presentations course. In 2014, they attended Fisher College for an English Summer Course. In 2011, they participated in an International Students Exchange Program at Sackville Heights Junior High School in Nova Scotia, Canada. Currently, they are pursuing an MSc in Business Analytics at Esade.
