Richard King

Richard King has over 20 years of work experience in the software engineering field. Richard started their career as a contractor at RKing Consulting in 1996 and worked there until 1998. Richard then worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Com21, where they performed code maintenance and unit testing for cable modem head-ends. From 1999 to 2004, Richard worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Luxn, where they were responsible for code development on the GM3200 platforms. Richard then moved to Sorrento Networks, where they continued to work as a Senior Software Engineer and was involved in technical lead and system architect roles for the GM3200 platform. In 2005, they joined Zhone Technologies as a Senior Software Engineer and served as a technical lead and systems architect for the GM3200 and GM6400 platforms. Richard worked at OpVista from 2007 to 2009 as a Software Architect and Senior Software Engineer, where they contributed to the development of software designs for the CX-40G Muxponder. At Vello Systems, Richard worked as a Senior Software Engineer, Technical Lead, and Optical Platform Software Architect from 2009 to 2014. Richard provided software development and design guidance, collaborated with hardware engineers, and implemented OpenFlow agents and hardware configurations. Richard then joined Treq Labs in 2014 as a Principal Engineer. Richard later worked at Sonus Networks as a Distinguished Software Engineer from 2015 to 2017. Currently, Richard is employed at Join as a Lead Technical Engineer Operations, a position they have held since 2017.

Richard King attended San Jose State University from 1992 to 1995, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree. Their academic focus was on Computer Science and Mathematics.
