James McMillan BFP ACA

James McMillan BFP FCA has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2004, they began their career as a Sales Associate/Stock Controller at Louis Vuitton. James then moved on to Baker Tilly in 2008, where they worked as a Corporate Finance Manager & Associate, Audit Senior for seven years. In 2015, they joined BT as a Finance Manager for Cost Transformation and later became the Head of HR Programme Management Office.

In 2017, James founded audeo fortis, where they served as the Founder & Chief Officer of Getting Stuff Done, providing business advisory services in areas such as strategy, finance, and enterprise risk management.

James also has experience working as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of Audit Committee at Stockport Credit Union Ltd, where they provided oversight on finance, audit, and internal controls from 2019 to 2021.

Currently, James is involved in several advisory roles. James is the Co-Founder & CEO of Join myNexus, a Non-Executive Director at Counter Culture, and a Board Advisor at both Reason Digital and Impact Reporting.

Throughout their career, James has demonstrated their expertise in various areas, including business advisory, finance, strategy, and audit.

James McMillan BFP FCA began their education at The Manchester Metropolitan University in 2008, earning a degree in Business Studies. James then went on to further their education at the ICAEW, where they obtained the FCA designation in 2012.

In addition to their formal education, James McMillan has also obtained several certifications. In 2016, they completed the Foundation in Change Management program offered by the BQF. The following year, they obtained The Non-Executive Director Certification in association with NEDA from the ICAEW. Most recently, in June 2018, James McMillan earned the Business and Finance Professional certification from the ICAEW.
