Peter Gates is a data scientist currently working at Join Parachute since September 2022. Previously, Peter held a software engineer position at Galileo from September 2021 to January 2022, where significant contributions included the creation of a web GUI for database management that reduced manual errors. Peter also worked as a freelance data scientist for Pillar.gg, a startup focused on automated highlight videos for livestreams, from November 2020 to July 2021. In addition to industry experience, Peter served as a graduate teaching assistant at Kent State University and the University of Akron, managing laboratory courses in various biological sciences from 2015 to 2021. Peter holds a PhD in Biomedical Science with a focus on Exercise Physiology from Kent State University, complemented by a BS in Exercise Science from the same institution.
