Sam Lipscomb

Sam Lipscomb has had a varied work experience since 2014. Sam began as a waiter at Tia Queta Restaurant in 2014, and then became an Intern in the Office of Government and Congressional Affairs at United Airlines in 2015. In 2016, they were a Fellow at the Ohio Democratic Party and a Travel Team Intern at Hillary for America. In 2017, they were a Public Policy and Affairs Intern at KKR & Co. L.P. and a Summer Analyst at Benenson Strategy Group in 2018. Sam then worked as a Freelance Writer for The Points Guy in 2018 and as an Editorial, Content, and Product employee at SmartAsset in 2019. In 2019, they also founded Points University. Most recently, they became the Head of Content at Fizz (YC S21) in 2022.

Sam Lipscomb attended Sidwell Friends School from 2008 to 2014. Sam then went on to receive their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics from Kenyon College in 2019. In October 2019, they were awarded the Certified Educator in Personal Finance\u00ae (CEPF\u00ae) certification from the Center for Financial Certifications.
