Dedrick Asante-Muhammad serves as the President of the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies since March 2024. Previously, Dedrick held the position of Chief of Race, Wealth, and Community at the National Community Reinvestment Coalition from January 2019 to March 2024. Prior to that, Dedrick was the Director of the Racial Wealth Divide Initiative and a Senior Fellow at the Corporation for Enterprise Development from August 2015 to December 2018. Dedrick also served as the Senior Director of Economic Programs at the NAACP from November 2010 to July 2015 and was an Associate Fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies between 2006 and 2010. Earlier in career, Dedrick coordinated the Racial Wealth Divide at United for a Fair Economy from 2003 to 2005. Dedrick holds a Master of Arts in Systematic Theology from Union Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Williams College.
