Francine Westergaard has a diverse range of work experience in the healthcare industry. Francine started their career in 1984 at Advocate Christ Medical Center and Hope Children's Hospital, where they held various staff nursing positions and progressively advanced to administrative roles. During this time, they contributed to the corporate level of Advocate Health Care by overseeing supply chain, new service development, and research. Francine also played key roles in the development and implementation of important projects such as the Neonatal/Pediatric Transport Services, Centralized Pediatric Telemetry Program, and Pediatric Outpatient Oncology Center.
In 2004, Francine briefly worked at Advance for Nurses, a Merion Publication, where they performed periodic peer reviews for unsolicited freelance submissions.
In 2011, Francine joined Joint Commission International as a Senior Consultant, assuming the role of Managing Consultant for highly complex and large client assignments. Francine later became a Principal Consultant, International in 2015, where they led client engagements, provided consulting services, and developed new products/services to achieve revenue targets. Francine also acted as a mentor and thought leader within the organization, sharing knowledge and best practices with the consulting team and clients.
In 2017, Francine returned to Joint Commission International as a Principal Consultant, Europe. As a seasoned healthcare consultant, they brought international experience to the role and demonstrated expertise in project management, assessment skills, and process design and implementation. Francine was known for their results-oriented approach.
Francine Westergaard's education history begins with their attendance at the Evangelical School of Nursing from 1981 to 1984, where they earned a Diploma in Nursing. After that, they pursued higher education at Lewis University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Francine furthered their education at Lewis University and completed a Masters of Science in Nursing degree, focusing on Nursing Education. Finally, Francine attended Walden University and obtained an MBA degree with a specialization in Project Management.
