Stefan Hristozov

Stefan Hristozov is an accomplished professional in the fields of aviation and robotics, currently serving as Secretary for the Joint European Drone Associations since September 2023. With a long-standing role as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Robotics at the Bulgarian Academy of Science since January 2016, Stefan has also founded UnmannedSystemsBulgaria, a platform providing insights on unmanned systems. Additional experience includes roles as Compliance Officer at Hades Defense Systems, Aeronautical Expert at Cluster Aero-Space Technologies, and Aviation Safety Inspector for the Bulgarian Civil Aviation Administration. Before these positions, Stefan worked as an Aeronautical Engineer at Aviostart Ltd. and as a Mechanic at Lufthansa Technik Sofia. Academic credentials include a PhD in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering, a Master’s degree in National Security Policy Studies, and a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering.
