Associate Director - Educational and Cultural Trust Fund at The Joint Industry Board of the Electrical Industry

Erland Castillo has extensive work experience, beginning in 2001 as a Member of Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc. In 2002, they began working as an Electrician at International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), and they held this role until 2010 when they began working as I.T.S. Maintenance General Foreman at E-J Electric Installation Co. In 2013, they worked as a Graduate Research Intern at the National Labor Relations Board. In 2020, they became President of the Jose Lopez Memorial Scholarship Fund Inc., a role in which they are committed to the growth and development of Latino Students. In 2022, they began their current role as Associate Director - Educational and Cultural Trust Fund at The Joint Industry Board of the Electrical Industry.

Erland Castillo's education history includes a Master of Science in Urban Policy and Analysis from The New School, which they obtained between 2004 and 2008. From 1999 to 2003, they obtained a degree in Legal Studies from John Jay College (CUNY). In 2002, they attended the University of Havana for a field of study in Political Science.
