Elizabeth Traut is a seasoned professional in the field of sustainable transportation and electric vehicle infrastructure. Currently serving as Technology Manager for EV Charging Analysis at the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation since April 2023, Elizabeth leads data analysis activities to support program evaluation and the implementation of electric vehicle charging networks. Previously, Elizabeth held roles as Affiliate Assistant Research Professor and Assistant Research Professor at Penn State University, where research focused on equity in public electric vehicle charging and sustainable transportation systems. With postdoctoral experience at Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Glasgow, Elizabeth specialized in analyzing transit patterns, greenhouse gas emissions, and the impacts of electric vehicle adoption. Elizabeth holds a PhD and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
