Marina Moore has a diverse work experience. Marina currently works as an Ocean Rescue team member at the Wrightsville Beach Fire Department, where they use their skills to prevent and respond to emergencies. Marina is also a Sales Representative for JOLYN, an athletic swimwear and clothing brand, where they travel to various locations in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia to hold pop-up sales of JOLYN merchandise. In addition, Marina is a Jewelry Designer for their own business, Aleksa Authentic Jewelry, where they design, produces, and markets their own line of jewelry. Marina is also an OCS Teacher at New Hanover County Schools, teaching math to high school students on the Occupational Course of Study and Future Ready tracks. Marina previously worked as a Freelance Artist and Designer, creating digital and physical art pieces for clients, and as an Exceptional Children Teacher for Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, serving students with severe-profound disabilities. Marina has also gained experience as a Therapeutic Recreation Intern at Children's Specialized Hospital and as a Private Swim Instructor, where they educated swimmers of various ages and abilities on water safety and competitive techniques. Marina also worked as a Facilities Services Assistant at the UNCW Student Recreation Center and as a Lifeguard at Founders Park Inc.

Marina Moore completed their Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation/Recreational Therapy at the University of North Carolina Wilmington from 2016 to 2019. Marina then pursued a graduate degree in Special Education and Teaching - Adapted Curriculum at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 2020 to 2022. Prior to their enrollment at UNCW, Marina was working towards a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Emory & Henry College from 2014 to 2016, although it is not specified if they completed the degree. In addition to their formal education, Marina also obtained several certifications, including Question Persuade Refer Suicide Prevention from the QPR Institute in April 2018, Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians in May 2022, CPR & AED from the American Heart Association in May 2022, Blood Borne Pathogens from the American Red Cross in March 2018, and Lifeguard certification from the American Red Cross in March 2017.
