Vilen Z. has diverse experience in the field of technical development and database management. Starting with their role as a Report Developer at BCL Magnetics in 2004, they then worked as a Programmer Analyst and Database Developer at Sears in 2006. In this role, they performed application and database analysis, developed reports using MS SQL Server and Crystal Reports, and built ETL modules using MS DTS.
Vilen then joined Points.com as a Reporting Analyst and Database Developer in 2008. Here, they performed business analysis, developed reports using BO and Crystal Reports, and built Business Objects XI Universes for Web Intelligence and custom reports. Vilen also improved existing reports and built ETL scripts to populate data into the data warehouse.
In 2011, Vilen joined Citi Bank as an Application Developer Sr. Programmer Analyst. Vilen developed numerous reports using SAP Crystal Reports, BO WebI, QlikView, and GXS. Vilen contributed to product evaluation for Prime Finance Reporting and developed and modified complex stored procedures for reporting using MS SQL Server. Vilen also successfully implemented major BO Universes enhancements that significantly reduced report execution time.
Lastly, Vilen joined The Jonah Group in 2016 as a Technical Developer. Here, they migrated OWB ETL to SSIS ETL, converted complex packages and stored procedures from PL/SQL to T-SQL, built SSIS packages with dynamic SQL, and optimized SQL queries for batch insert, update, and merge operations.
Vilen Z. obtained their Master's degree in Computer Science from Chernigov State University of Technology, where they studied from 1990 to 1995.
