Charles Mautz

Charles Mautz, MA, MBA, currently serves as the Director of Rehabilitation Services at the NC Department of Adult Correction since April 2023. Mautz is also a psychologist at Joon Care and at Correctional Behavioral Health, roles held since June 2021 and October 2016, respectively. Prior experience includes a position as Research and Policy Associate at the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts from October 2022 to April 2023, and multiple roles at the North Carolina Department of Public Safety from December 2012 to October 2022, ranging from Innovation Institute Administrator to Staff Psychologist. Mautz holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Master of Arts in Clinical Health Psychology from Appalachian State University, and a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Business Analytics from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
