Hakim Burnette has had a diverse range of work experience in various logistics and warehouse management roles. Hakim began their career in 2001 at Gucci Group, where they served as the Shipping Manager/ Operations, handling tasks such as inventory control and global shipping. Hakim then worked as a Warehouse Manager at Charlotte Moss Interior Designs from 2006 to 2010. Hakim later joined One Kings Lane as the Samples Logistics Manager, where they managed a team, developed processes for productivity improvement, and controlled quality assurance. In 2014, they worked as the E-commerce Operations Project Manager at Steven Alan, establishing warehouse protocols and managing day-to-day operations. Following this, Hakim held positions at Sotheby's and Puffco, where they supervised crews, managed inventory, and oversaw shipping and receiving operations. At Christie's, they served as both the Loading Dock Manager and Warehouse & Post Sale Manager, taking charge of property transfers, coordinating with various stakeholders, and completing reports. Hakim then worked as a Warehouse Supervisor at Gorillas, leading a team, managing operations, and ensuring an enthusiastic work environment. Most recently, Hakim joined Rolex as the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, responsible for overseeing shipping processes. Currently, they are working as a Logistics Manager at JOOPITER, a company specializing in premium auctions and rare cultural artifacts.

Hakim Burnette attended John Jay College (CUNY) from 1995 to 1997, where they studied Criminal Justice/Police Science. Hakim did not obtain a degree during this period. In addition to their college education, Hakim also obtained certifications in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) from OSHA in April 2016, and in TSA from the transportation security administration in May 2015.
